Just another grey Sunday afternoon...
C’mon, admit it. With all the doom and gloom around at the moment, with all this talk of “the skies are falling” and nothing to look forward to except bad weather and a long, torturous recession, most folks will be feeling grumpy, miserable and exceedingly depressed. Time to batten down the hatches, quit photography and stay inside, feel sorry for yourself and wish you were dead.
Oh sod that! Here at Fluffytek we have decided to banish the winter blues by celebrating the living!
Specifically The Living Dead!
Yes siree, not only is it Halloween week, it’s also World Zombie Day and all over the world this weekend our undead bruthas and sistas are rising up to moan and shamble in the name of world hunga…
Time to get off yer cute zombie asses and celebrate Global Zombie Love!
It’s at times like this when you realise that it doesn’t matter if or when you die, because you know that YOU WILL LIVE AGAIN!
(Credits: Many thanks to my long-suffering sons for the humongous amount of time spent in Make Up.)

Oh my!!
Definintely the CUTEST little walking dead I've ever seen!
Still rather icky, and terribly REALISTIC makeup... but still just cute in that kiddie undead way!
;)
Wonderful post, I must say! Made me smile... thank you!
See this is what makes your blog so special, who knew the un-dead could look so cute! It’s these slice’s of your life that make your blog so wonderful and so heartfelt. To the economy, I think we’re losing something important here and that is the time to regroup. We have say 6 to 9 month to get fresh work done and printed before we can sell again. Those of us who’re independent businessmen/women are used to surviving in harsh climates and we’ll weather this storm too. I pity the older worker who is used to that regular check who find they can’t retire and who are now out of job. Or the retired workers who now have to look for a job and recreate themselves. Those of us independents are used to the struggles and having to re-create ourselves on a regular basis. I think that this will be a good time for us if we can only survive long enough.
Well call me a whimp, but it is snowing (mixed with rain) and I am happy to be indoors looking at it through the windows, tea in hand.
I do miss the old days of Halloween. It was always fun.
Here, there is no such thing. A costume covered by a down coat and Sorrel boats sort of nigates the costume idea. That and the fact that your neighbor is a 1/4 mile away if you care to go knock on their door. They won't have any candy for you if you did that because no one does that here. So you might get a fishing lure, or a bottle of chain saw oil instead.
A holiday that comes and goes without notice in these parts. Much like our 4th of July. Doesn't happen here either. We get the occasional cabin person who goes out and fires his deer rifle off on the porch, but that is as close as we get to fireworks.
But November 8th is coming soon. Kids get out of school for a four day weekend. Families plan a whole year around this time.
Deer hunting opener.
Go figure.
Yes!
What zombies? This looks like me in the morning.
Yes, Lin, I agree. It's time to shake the heavy stuff and get into the Halloween spirit. These bones shall rise again!
The little neighbor dog thinks trick or treat is a daily occasion; he's at my door every morning for a handout. I think I'd like the trick or treat thing better if dogs came calling with their owners in tow.
